믿음으로 말미암아 살리라
롬1:17

생명의 말씀

“복음에는 하나님의 의가 나타나서 믿음으로 믿음에 이르게 하나니 기록된바 오직 의인은 믿음으로 말미암아 살리라 함과 같으니라”

“오직 의인은 믿음으로 말미암아 살리라”는 말씀의 의미는 “복음에 나타난 하나님의 의를 믿는 믿음”을 뜻합니다. 여기서 복음이란 한마디로 ‘좋은 소식’을 말합니다. 즉 예수께서 이 땅에 오셔서 인류의 모든 죄를 사하시고 영원한 천국의 세계, 의의 세계를 열어 주셨기 때문입니다. 따라서 복음의 실체는 바로 예수 그리스도 자신을 가리킵니다. 그러므로 복음이란 예수 그리스도 자신을 가리킵니다(롬1:2-4). 이 복음은 선지자들이 예언했고 그 예언대로 육신으로 다윗의 혈통에서 나시고 십자가에서 돌아가시고 성결의 영으로 사흘만에 부활하신 예수 그리스도이십니다. 그러면 이러한 복음은 어떻게 역사할까요?

첫째, 복음은 모든 믿는 자에게 주시는 하나님의 구원의 능력이 되므로, 복음 안에는 하나님의 의가 나타납니다. 하나님의 의란 사람의 모든 죄를 사하시고 구원하시는 행동으로, 하나님의 독생자 되신 예수 그리스도를 말합니다. 그래서 롬3:24절에서 “그리스도 예수 안에 있는 구속으로 말미암아 의롭다 하심을 얻은 자”라고 말씀하고 있습니다.

둘째, 복음 안에서 우리는 ‘무죄선언’의 은총을 받았습니다. 이 하나님의 ‘무죄선언’은 롬3:25절에서 “하나님께서 길이 참으시는 중에 전에 지은 죄를 간과하심으로”란 말씀에 잘 나타나 있습니다. 여기서 ‘간과하다’는 말은 두 가지 의미가 있습니다. 먼저 예수님이 오시기 전에, 하나님께서 사람들의 죄를 참고 눈감아 주심으로 당신의 정의를 나타내심을 뜻합니다. 그러나 오늘날에는 예수님이 오셔서 죄를 물으심으로 당신의 정의를 나타내십니다. 그러므로 롬3:26절에서 “곧 이때에 자기의 의로우심을 나타내사 자기도 의로우시며 또한 예수 믿는 자를 의롭다 하려 하심이라”고 말씀하셨던 것입니다. 이와 같이 예수님은 바로 하나님의 의(義)이며, 비밀입니다. 그 분 속에 모든 지식과 부요와 축복이 다 들어 있는 것입니다.

<기도제목>

복음의 실체는 예수 그리스도 자신입니다. 그분 안에서 하나님의 의가 나타나고, 무죄 선언의 은총이 주어짐을 깨달을 때, 오늘 하루도 그리스도 안에서 믿음으로 말미암아 살아갈 수 있도록 기도하십시오.

The Word of Life

"For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."

But the Righteous man shall live by faith means that in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith. The gospel is the good news. We have the gospel because Jesus came down to this earth and took away our sins and gave the way to the eternal and righteous heaven. Heaven is seen through Jesus Christ Himself. The gospel teaches about Jesus (Romans 1:2-4). The prophets prophesied this gospel and He was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh. He died on the third day and was resurrected from the dead. Then what are the capabilities of this gospel?

First, the gospel is able to grant salvation to anyone who believes in it. God’s righteousness is present inside the gospel, where our sins are washed away and we have received salvation. Colossians 3:24 states, “knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.”

Second, the gospel has allowed us to be guilt free. To make us guilt free, Romans 3:25 states, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed. To pass over has two meanings: During the time before Jesus, God closed His eyes and patiently waited for man to return from their sinful ways as He is righteous. However, today after Jesus’ time, He is asking about

our sins to display His righteousness. Romans 3:26 states, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Jesus is God’s righteousness and secret. There are blessings of knowledge and riches inside Jesus.

"Prayer Request"

Gospel’s content is Jesus Christ, where God’s righteousness is displayed abolishing our sins. Let us pray that we can live in Jesus Christ by faith.
