Research in the Biblical History of Redemption
박윤식 목사님은 평생 하루에 3시간 이상 성경을 읽고, 2시간 이상 기도하는 것에 매진하며 평생 성경을 1,800번 이상 정독하였습니다. ‘성경의 족보’, ‘성경의 날짜와 요일’ 등 주요 주제들은 모두 그 동안 성경에서 중요하지 않다고 간주되었던 것들이었습니다. 실로 성경만을 의지하여 건축물을 쌓아가는 전인미답의 연구였습니다. 또한 ‘출애굽 광야 노정’이나 ‘다윗의 도피 행로’를 연구하기 위해서는 이스라엘에 가서 실제 장소를 방문하고 거리를 재는 수고를 마다하지 않았습니다.
Rev. Abraham Park spent each day praying for at least two hours and reading the Bible for more than three hours. Throughout his life, he read the entire Bible more than 1,800 times. Since all his research was founded on the Bible alone, he could clearly explain many deserted topics, such as the biblical genealogies and the biblical dates/days of the week. For “The Exodus & Wilderness Journey” and “The Route of David’s Flight,” he went painstakingly visited the actual sites and measured the distances.
박윤식 목사님은 1968년 강단에서 구속사 말씀을 선포하기 시작한 이래, 목회 사역 내내 다시 다듬고 보충하여 선포하기를 수십 차례 하였습니다. <구속사 시리즈>가 성경을 꿰뚫는 영적인 깊이와 정확한 숫자와 거리 등을 모두 담고 있으면서도 동시에 노인부터 아이까지 누구나 읽기 쉬운 문체로 기록된 것은, 그야말로 50년간의 끊임없는 연구와 성도 사랑의 열매입니다.
Ever since Rev. Park began preaching the Word of redemptive history in 1968, he repeatedly revised and supplemented the contents to preach them from the pulpit. As a result, the History of Redemption series offers not only profound spiritual insight into the Bible with meticulous numbers and distances, but also amazingly easy reading for all age groups. The series is truly a fruition of Rev. Park’s persistent research and his love for the congregation in his half-century of ministry.
