Publication of the History of Redemption Series
1968년 박윤식 목사님은 부흥집회를 통해 ‘노아가 방주를 건축한 기간은 120년이 아니며, 100년이 되지 않는다’라는 사실을 설교했지만, 외국의 주석들을 수동적으로 받아들이기 급급했던 당시의 많은 목회자들은 몇 가지 성경구절만 보아도 분명한 사실을(창 5:32, 7:6, 11, 11:10) 받아들이지 않고 도리어 박윤식 목사님을 공격하였습니다. 이에 은혜 받은 많은 성도들의 요청에도 불구하고 원고를 다듬고 또다시 다듬는 가운데 2007년 10월 27일 구속사 시리즈 제1권 <창세기의 족보>가 출간되었습니다.
At a revival meeting in 1968, Rev. Park preached that Noah took less than 100 years to build the ark, not 120 years. However, many pastors at the time, who had resorted to passively accepting foreign commentaries, began to attack him. Just checking a few Scripture verses would have confirmed the truth of Rev. Park’s sermon (Gen 5:32, 7:6, 11, 11:10). Many saints who had been blessed by his sermons requested that he publish his books at that time, but Rev. Park only kept on revising his manuscripts. Finally, on October 27, 2007, the first book in the series, The Genesis Genealogies, was published.
<구속사 시리즈> 집필은 뼈를 깎는 해산의 고통이었습니다. 바늘로 찌르는 듯한 대상포진의 고통 가운데에서도 집필을 마쳐야 한다는 사명감으로 새벽 3-4시까지 서재에 불을 밝히고 집필을 계속하였습니다. 그 결과 젊은 신학자들도 혀를 내두르는 속도로 집필된 <구속사 시리즈>는 2013년까지 7년 동안 총 9권 이 출간되었으며, 아직 출간되지 않은 12권까지의 원고가 완성되었습니다.
Publishing the History of Redemption series entailed excruciating pain of labor. Despite the tormenting pain from catching shingles, Rev. Park’s firm resolve to finish his writings had him staying up in his study rooms to work on the manuscripts until three-to-four in the mornings. As a result, he published nine books in the series in just seven years, until 2013, a speed that astonished many young scholars. His manuscripts for the remaining books in the 12 volume series are ready for publication as his posthumous work.
